Geneva Boredom

Geneva Boredom was created in 2013. Performed by Dee Gooding, Rachel Prendergast, and Joy Prendergast. This piece is a collection of three stories , each performer on their own island but performing simultaneously, and in succession of each other. Geneva Boredom explores the loss of innocence through the eyes of a girl. The material was developed during my time in Geneva in the winter of 2013. The piece was first performed at the Garage in San Francisco for the RAW Residency. It was then revised and restaged for studio 270 at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. The second addition was developed to give the audience a closer look into the world of Geneva Boredom, presented as an art installation/amateur light show. The aim for the future is to bring the piece to unconventional venues such as parks, night clubs, alleyways, school rooms, and studios.

Geneva Boredom is still in development, and it evolves slowly, with the wind at our backs, Ricola in our mouths, and postits in our pockets.

Special thanks to Joe Landini, Summer Lee Rhatigan Courtney Mazeika, Rachel Laws, and Katie Florez.
